Got An Interview

I am having an interview at the local Starbucks on tuesday from Dartmouth, wat should i order, the interviewer said she'll cover the cost :)
should i order sandwiches and cookies?

No, No, No

Order some coffe, and mabye some cookies. Don't cost the interviewer too much. I would be a little miffed if someone took the liberty to order a full lunch on my dime.

Congratulations,

I know that you have been nervous for a long time. If you think that you are going to have a major case of nerves, be on the safe side and order bottled water (don't want to be handling hot beverages which can spill). Above all relax and be your self. Good luck

Dont order anything that requires u to make crunching sounds/something thats messy/takes too much time to eat a mouthful/etc..

Order coffee and cookies

stay away from caffeine which might make you wishing for a biological break to go to the restroom. go with decaf stuff, or bottled H20.

thx so much, should i bring my own water? or would that make me look like a snob?

It will be okay if you allow the interviewer to buy you a bottled water.

Actually, I wouldn't order anything; just to show courtesy. If you do order, bring your own money and tell him/her it's no big deal.

order a bag of ground coffee and tell the interviewer, "i ran out at home" then ask them if they want to continue the interview at nordstroms, and finish off at Best Buy.

Offer then graciously allow them to buy and comment on the notorious generosity/politeness of D alum which is one of the reasons you are so excited to be part of the D community.

As you must know, first:

Find reasons why you think what you think.
Connect your ideas to socially responsible topics that you believe in.
Have a theme.
Keep getting back on message.
Turn up the volume in your eyes.
Relax excitedly.
Be thrilled.
No when to shut up and when to kick-start the conversation.
Get back on message: theme.
Don't get stupid!
Don't zone out.
Don't use bad manners.
Speak clearly, distinctly.

BRIGHTEYES!

I think that might come off as contrived. Stay natural. You make your biggest mistakes when you are unnatural.

I had a Harvard interview like that at a restaurant/book shop. I ordered some tea and my interviewer had hot chocolate. It was actually awkward NOT to order something!
Claire

lol yes, during my G-town interview at a Starbucks, whenever the interviewer would take over the conversation, I'd be able to sip at my coffee (still utterly absorbed in what he was saying, of course, lol) and moisten my vocal chords, preparing for my next long-winded monologue. what-WHAT! lol

wooHOO never lose hope! My interviewer called today and we scheduled for tomorrow. HURRAY! I can't wait! If my interviewer thought I was enthusiastic at the Columbia interview, and I barely LIKE Columbia - I'll probably EXPLODE while Dartmouth-gushing lol
