Got an offer to do administrative work at a bank this summer..should I take it?

Hello everyone! I was called by a major bank in Canada today to ask if I am interested in doing administrative work this summer, but I don't know if I should take it or not.

I don't know if I'll be able to gain anything valuable from "administrative work"..what does that even entail anyways?

And I am not sure about the pay either, because the person said that she'll have to work it out if I tell her that I am interested in taking the job. What kind of pay should I expect for a job like this?

Also, I'm a senior in high school, and this will be my last summer before university..is it worth it taking this job instead of just relaxing? How much does this job help in terms of my resume for the future?

Any other thoughts? :p

Thank you so much for reading :).

Tell her you are interested no matter what and don’t accept it without an actual offer (stating your salary/hourly pay). Any job will help you in the future for internships and most of my friends were working during the summer after senior year so I couldn’t hang out with them anyway.

TL;DR- Tell her you are interested which does not require that you accept the position if you decide you don’t want it.

if you would be interested in a career with this bank, you should definitely take it. Once you become a known quantity somewhere, that is a huge leg up.
