I applied for New York university CAS undecided but got into Steinhardt. I would like to study biology or become a physical therapist, but steinhardt seems to not have anything related to health besides nutrition and food studies. What should i do in order to study biology and become a PT at NYU?
I also got into Boston University's Physical Therapy program and am unsure whether i should go to BU or NYU. HELP!

In order to be a PT these days, you must complete a doctorate degree. I think people who are unsure of their career path start with biology then go into medicine or other healthcare area. If you feel more confident you want to go into PT, you should probably start there since it will take a number of years to complete your degree. You need to compare the curriculum of become a PT with what you need to take to get a bio degree so that you don’t lose much time if you start in bio then transfer.

Not sure what you mean about CAS and Steinhardt–you either apply to one or the other, which one did you apply to? NYU does not move an application from CAS to Steinhardt.

Take a careful look at the Steinhardt web site In the health areas, other undergraduate programs (besides Nutrition and Food Studies, as you mention) include Speech Therapy and Public Health.

Lake Mom is right–to practice as a PT you need a doctorate, which is a 3+ year graduate program. Undergrad majors that lead to the PT field can be almost anything, but you do need basic science training. You should reserach the field, the training, and various programs. I don’t know what the BU PT program is for undergrads, but you cannot practice as a full PT without the DPT (Doctorate).
