Got out from wait list but worrying about some problems

Hi guys, I just got out from waitlist but I’m not sure about some problems.

In my application page, I put I was gonna take AP comparative government and AP Calculus AB.(I planned to self-study) Due to many reasons(I did not prepare enough and I did not take those classes in school), I didn’t take these tests. Thus, I want to know if that affects my admission. Will UCSB rescind my admission because I did not take those 2 AP tests I planned to take?

Meanwhile, I already confirmed another school. So is that possible for me to cancel my confirmation for that school and enroll UCSB? Is that too late to do Housing and Registration for UCSB now?

Thanks

If you only put that you planned to take those AP tests but didn’t, then you should be fine. However if you put those AP courses in your schedule and didn’t take them then there may be some issues.
Yes you can cancel a SIR but there’s usually a fee for doing so.
I’ve seen posts from other people who got off the waitlist saying they got an email giving them an extended deadline for housing but I would email them to be sure.

lol don’t go to ucsb if you aren’t sure, I’m still waiting to get off the waitlist! haha

Call UCSB and explain your situation to them. I’m sure that they will be re-assuring. yes you can cancel a school you committed to if you get off the waiting list of a school you prefer. You may not get your deposit back tho.

UCSB is just a phone call or email away…

Thx, guys. UCSB told me those APs dont matter and its not too late to do housing.
