Got rejected by Yale: Do I have any chance at Princeton?

I guess one of my teacher recommendations could have been less dull. Also, I didn't emphasize my Mexican side in my Yale application, while I plan to write an essay about it for other schools, since I'm not the typical Mexican and I don't have a Mexican last name, so perhaps it would help to elaborate on it.

Blueducky, those deferred from Y or S are acknowledged as those strong/interesting enough to be worth a second look.

Hi TheWerg and omgitsgeorglopez,

I've been looking for you guys over on the Y site, and was truly sad to see NEITHER of you on the accepted list. I don't give chances, but, just based on both of your posts over the last few months, I had put you on my list of kids I thought would be accepted, and was surprised to be wrong about that. I'm really confident you will both be accepted to other colleges and have some great choices. I hope your essays reveal you the way your CC posts have. You both come across as people who have a lot to offer- smart, funny, friendly, compassionate.
Hang in there.

Ty rr your post made me feel a lot better
