GPA concerns me :/

Hello, I am currently a highschool student Junior year.
My grades haven't been the best and now I regret all thoes times wasted. I want to fix it or atleast try to make myself stand out and maybe get accepted to a UC campus.

I never really thought about college until this year, now I want to attend UCLA but with the grades I have? I'm putting myself down.

Is there any advice that you might have to accomplish what I want or atleast somewhat make my highschool years seem better?

I have a 2.84 gpa.

My grades are A's and B's and usually in each semester I had either 2-3 C's except for my last i only recived one C.

I still haven't taken my SAT but I will in June. :)

I have also had Honors english, IB visual arts and Theory of knowledge which is also an IB course.

Volunteering hours, haven't done them yet my school requires 40 but if I am willing to do more.

Any options or opinions you have will be very helpful.

Thank you for your time and help.

If you’re looking at UCLA or Berkeley it will be very difficult because of your GPA. Depending on if you break a 2000 on SATs or 30 on ACTs, you could get into UC Santa Barbara or certain schools of that caliber … Chance me back please

I’m going to be honest here, a GPA under 3 quite frankly is sort of pathetic and will have no chance at a UC school. However, at times, they will get nice and admit a handful of low GPA folks… So, my advice to you is make the best out of what you can with your current GPA and look for schools that you have a chance at and pick the one that will offer you the best education.
