Just wondering if anyone knew..

Like some figures (or if not, guesses) as to what percent of students get a 3.5+, etc.

PBK says up to 7 percent of student body, does anyone know the cutoff?

How about the top 15%?

Percent that graduates cum laude, magna, summa?

Thanks

Because PBK began at W&M they are a bit secretive about how a student becomes eligible for induction. It’s part of the allure of being a member of the alpha chapter of the organization and to be inducted takes more than a certain GPA.

As for your question about GPA distribution, we will do some research and get back to you. Keep in mind of course that GPA distribution will likely vary a bit from class to class.

You may want to visit this site: [William & Mary - Grades](http://www.wm.edu/offices/registrar/studentrecords/grades/index.php) Scroll down to the bottom and that might be the info you’re looking for.

Our University Registrar provided us some additional data:

10.9% graduated Summa Cum Laude
11.7% graduated Magna Cum Laude
14.3% graduate Cum Laude
36.9% graduate with a 3.5 or better

The top 15% gpa cut off was 3.753

Hope this is helpful.
