GPA for scholarships

Is the 3.5 GPA requirement for scholarships weighted or unweighted? If it is unweighted how do you figure out what that would be if all you have is a 4.56 weighted GPA?

It’s the highest GPA listed on your transcript, be it weighted or unweighted. If your 4.56 weighted GPA is based on the standard 4.0 scale with additional points added for honors and AP classes, you’ll be fine.

Thank you Sea_tide. DS right now has a B in a Honor’s Engineering class which will drop his GPA to a 4.56. Considering how hard it is to get into some Engineering schools, I was a little worried that the B would hurt him for scholarship opportunities at BAMA.

No, it wont hurt your son at all. He is good to go as long as he also has the test scores and he applies before the deadline.

the app will go LIVE in late June or early July…

Question regarding Scholarship / GPA ?
Is Scholarship awarded on GPA through 6 semesters (end of junior year) , 7 semesters ( application deadline) or 8 semesters ( full high school transcript)?
Thank you in advance for any input and clarification.
