I go to a Canadian (high)school, so I don't know my GPA.
My average right now is 95%, and I'm taking all academic courses (= AP i think).
What would my GPA be? 3.7? 4.0?

A 95%!! In Canada! That is certainly an A. York has a % grade equivalency somewhere on the website. Canadian grading is very tough (D is taking an online Canadian course), but the "A" goes all the way down to 85.

^^

Actually in Ontario an A is 80-100 lol.

Don't convert your 100 scale GPA to a scale out of 4 unless your school has a specific conversion chart.

Also, academic and U level are not considered to be on par with AP, however if you are applying to American schools, your GC will check off 'most rigorous' on the counsellors form.

thanks for the input
so if i apply to an american college, they wouldn't need to know my 4 scale GPA?

No there is no need to convert your GPA, most counselor report forms ask whether your school calculates GPA out of 4 or 100
