<p>I couldn't find a recommended gpa on their website. But besides higher=better, I would think that the number of classes you've taken and what they are would make a difference, too. Also, I've heard that Barnard is not friendly towards non-traditional students, though this could be wrong.</p>

<p>I heard from Barnard students that the college steers older students, or anyone who's been out of school for a while, to Columbia's school of General Studies (I think that's what it's called.) But I haven't heard this directly from the admissions department, so it could be wrong.</p>
<p>i have also heard this about barnard. i dont remember the actual rule but generally the only older women allowed to take classes at barnard are alumnae auditors.</p>
<p>I have a 3.73 in a mix of upper level, intermediate level and intro classes after one semester and several people on this board told me that would be enough to get me in</p>
