GPA questions

<p>Just an FYI, my dream univ is Yale...</p>

<p>couple of questions:
Is there really much of a difference between, say, a 3.8 and a 3.9?
My freshman grades weren't AMAZING, but they aren't being calculated in my rank because I moved. My grades look sort of like this:
Soph Yr: 4 As, 4 A-s (I took as many honors as possible)
Jr Yr (predicted): 4 As, 1 A-, 1 B+ :( or possibly 3 As, 2 A-s, 1 B+...or possibly 4 As and 2 A-s (unlikely) (taking the most rigourous courseload for a jr: 4 APs and 2 honors)</p>

<p>Are they good enough to get me into Yale, with pretty damn good ECs (I have a thread in the What are my chances? board) and 2200-2300 SATs?</p>

<p>Class rank is more important than the GPA alone... it puts the GPA into context.</p>
