How would USC recalculate my GPA? If I am planning to retake a class online to replace a B with an A, would they both be used to calculate my GPA or only one? Which one? Also, my school is on a trimester system. Would USC look at my first trimester’s grades because it ends in November?
Why would you retake a class to replace a B? Waste of time and no one is going to be impressed by it, especially if you took the first time in-person and the second online. Anyway, USC considers both grades when figuring out your GPA.
Thanks! I just have extra space in my schedule next year and don’t know what else to take :(. What about my senior year grades. Do they matter?
Senior year first semester or trimester grades will need to be submitted prior to admissions decisions, so yes they matter. After that, common wisdom is to try not to get any C’s.
