Do college admission officers look at your overall GPA more or your individual grades?

They pay attention to your transcript as a whole. So rather than focusing on the GPA, they see which classes you got A’s in, which classes you got B’s in, and consider that in the context of your school. I guess you could say that they focus on your individual grades.

They consider everything together. GPA. Grades. and Ranking. Rank can actually be important if you go to a tough school, where your grades and GPA may be low, but you have a high ranking. Basically, colleges look at the entire picture. Although since GPA and grades are directly related, it’s not a big deal.
