GPA ---wanna improve

Careles behaviour ,unfamiliarity with pattern and a lot of other factors result in low GPA.
Some people says that GPA remain same throught four years.
i am not agree.
But once you are in bad books of hardworking students how will you make a good company.I think good company is necessary for good GPA.
HOw to believe ?

what? (10)

Might wanna work on your english before you try improving your GPA.

Join study groups in your classes. Your GPA will change each semester as you get new grades. Take fewer credits: spend more time on each class. Go to student center for help with studying. Your GPA will get better as you become more familiar with what is expected. You were smart enough to get in...you are smart enough to do well.

I second sax. I was in a similar situation in that my GPA after my freshman year was a 2.95. There have been lower, but I want to go to graduate school so it's not exactly where it needed to be. This semester I brought my GPA up nearly .4 gradepoints, with harder classes. I attribute this to a) being more familiar with college life and how to do well, b) settling down a bit and not being afraid to do homework on friday and saturday nights if I had to, and c) BETTER WORK HABITS. Many people, myself included freshman year, just sit on AIM while doing homework. I stopped that. I stopped procrastinating and started working ahead, and it REALLY paid off. It's just about finding the style that works best for you and you can do it.

wow. I didn't understand any of that.

lol...good thing you actually put the "question" in the topic

this is why we don't use freetranslation.com, kids!

I was following along with you until this. It wasn't until after a few failed attempts to decipher it I realized its comedic value.

^lol, it is funny! I hadn't really read it that carefully before, but looking closely it is amusing.

this might be my favorite thread of the day...sad lol

A student "A" get 2.00 GPA in first semester
Actually he is very hardworking and intelligent student.
But he was not familiar with college life and style of papers.
Thats why he could not get good GPA.
NOw he want to improve his GPA.
BUt students (4GPA) do not like to study with him.
Good students do not like him they suppose him a bad student
Not what he will Do?
how he can improve his GPA.
AS far as my english is concerned in my country english is not a mean of education
thnaks for your help and critics

I agree that if you surround yourself with people with high GPA's and diligent students, some of their gold dust will rub off on you.

As for the ones that do not wanting to hangout with you, there are lots of other people out there that will look beyond your initially low GPA.

or find new people and don't mention your GPA first thing...

I take it those "4GPA" kids are not your friends? I have many smart friends (smart as in getting at least a 3.5 this semester in engieering/premed), and we take many classes together, so we study together as well.

So what can I advise?

1). There will be some people who hold study groups or something. Even then, sometimes you can walk in on a study group (be sure they aren't *******s first).

2). You can also get some help from your professors. I sure did, and it rose my F in math to a C.

Here is my guide to GETTING A 4.0...aka the Ten Commandments of College

Come to class with a positive attitude about the subject. It really does help.

Read the syllabus like it's a really good novel. In other words, keep looking over it and keep re-reading it so you know you're doing stuff right and are on target for due dates.

Be bold and ask questions in class. Don't sweat it if other people find you annoying for this because you're getting help and showing interest, which may yield participation points.

Two heads are better than one. Study with other people. Exchange ideas with a partner. He may have caught something you missed.

Along the same line, have a study session. Make notes to hand out and encourage the whole class to come. By teaching it, you review it better than you would by reading.

Find good music to play while you study and work. If you listen to something awesome, your work will probably improve as a result.

Relieve your everyday stress. Go to the gym, take a hike, run a mile, drive across town, or ride your bike.

Eat fish. I've heard it's a brain food. I eat fish at least once a week and it's done wonders for me! (at least I think so)

Take periodic breaks while studying. I will go for an hour or so, then I might watch TV or talk to some buddies online. It breaks it up.

When you go to take your tests, don't think of it as test day. Go in there like it's any other day of class and don't even think of the test as a test. Know that you know what's on it and you'll do fine.

10 in particular saved my life. Thank you to my friend who told me this--she may have been a few years younger than me but help comes from unlikely sources!!! This kid is the reason why I have a 4.0 over my semesters that I've been at my school!!!

I also forgot the 11th commandment: don't be afraid to study on a Friday or Saturday night. I've done it before.
