What's the difference between weighted and unweighted GPA?

Unweighted is your pure, untouched grade from your classes, and your weighted average is counting the extra points you get for taking a number of AP/IB/Honors classes. Some others may have slightly more detailed and better descriptions.

Is unweighted on 5-point scale and weighted is on a 4-point scale?

No, every school system or county could have a different scale. Mine is a 4.0 scale, but with weighted classes, etc. that GPA could exceed 4.0 when weighted.

Ok, so do colleges care to look at your weighted and unweighted GPA both?

And to clarify, if I have gotten all A’s, then my unweighted GPA is 4.0, right?
