Hi guys. So for my junior year i am planning on taking
AP Physics 1
APUSH
Korean 3
Computer Science AB
Eng 3 Reg or AP Lang
Pre-Calc Reg
What are my chances of getting straight A’s? To get the GPA i mostly desire(preferably the UC GPA) I need to get straight A’s this year. How can I manage my time? Also I like to go workout after school. Should I leave that aside during school? This year is going to be the most important year of my life and I need to do really well. Btw I am studying the SAT 2 hrs for 5 days during the summer, and for the schoolyear i am planning to study on the weekends. Thanks!
No one here can tell you that. It’s up to you, the resources you have, and your own work ethic.
Try to get work done early, visit your teachers when you start having trouble, find out if you study better alone or in groups, etc. You can easily look up studying tips and time management tips online. Ultimately though, it will depend on what works best for you.
No, don’t stop working out to focus on school. There’s research that shows being active is good for your brain and helps you with your memory, focus, etc. Taking a break from academics is good for your body and mind.
It’s good that you’re starting early. Try to take an ACT practice test as well. You can compare the practice scores you have and see if you’re innately better at one or the other. Then you can spend your time studying for whichever one you’re better at. Colleges give no preference to applicants applying with SAT or ACT scores.
Thank you so much! I am talking with my counselor atm to help me for next year and I am thinking to make a study schedule as soon as I come home to study. And I decided to start studying for a quiz or a test a few days before no matter how easy, just to get the hang of it. Thanks again!
