So I got my very first B and am absolutely devastated. I was on the track to be a valedictorian and ended up with an 89.4% in the advanced chemistry and the teacher did not round. My school also doesn’t weight grades so a B in chemistry is the same as a B in pe… I can’t help but wonder what this will do to my college acceptance chances for top schools?
One B won’t keep you out of any school. Get over it.
Don’t be devastated. As long as you are not getting multiple B’s, I think you should be fine. It also depends on how other students are doing. If only a few people got an A in that particular class, then you not getting an A isn’t as big of a deal. If your school is very competitive, then your spot as valedictorian could be taken, but you just have to move on and learn from it.
B’s are not bad. You will still get into great colleges. They will overlook one grade. Don’t worry!
