<p>Homers: yes, you are correct if all your GPA's are Variation of As (A-,A,A+) and 1 variation of B, your GPA will be onward of 3.95 depends on (n-1/n) where n is the number of courses (Academic ) you took in 4 years.</p>
<p>It is clearly indicated on UC website and that is how the GPA is calculated for UCs admissions. Most school do provide on the transcript the UC GPA in California.</p>

<p>I don't think it matters at all. The point to is to do your best, getting 1 B is not an issue. Problem is that whether you have all B's or mostly B.</p>
<p>A C do hurt sometime as it shows weakness. A B/B+ on the other hand in a tough course validated by a 4/5 on the AP will just show a heavy load.</p>
