Gpa?

hey, I'm from Romania and our grading system is from 1-10. how do I convert my grades to match the GPA? I found various converters on the internet, but they all seem to yield different results. can anyone approximate my 9.40 total grade?
thank you!

Thats an A of course.

Ooh, I'm so stupid. Your GPA.. I don't know.. Hmm.
I think close to a 4.0 though..
My schoolsystem works with 1 to 10 as well..

You may get some help here..
World Education Services - International Education Intelligence

If you want to estimate your GPA, I suggest you use the grade conversion chart issacnewton posted to convert every single grade and then compute the average of those (unfortunately, it is impossible to convert plain GPAs because a 9.4 which is a mix of 9 and 10s is different from a 9.4 that's mostly 10s with a few 6s and 7s sprinkled in).

FYI, don't convert your grades for your college application.

you need to know the mininum grade in your school for passing:
suppose it is 6 like most places then:
<6 = E = 0
between 6 and 7 = D=1
between 7 and 8= C = 2
between 8 and 9 = B = 3
between 9 and 10 = A= 4
ok by this chart you assign point grade for each of your subjects, then averige them and get your GPA!!
but if your school's passing grade is not 6 but 7 or 5 then you basically do the same and divide the range above passing grade to four sections and assign A B C D... not passing is E

not passing = failing = F

Yeah, as b@r!um said, you don't have to convert your grades for college apps.:)
