Gpa?????????????

What is usually the average GPA of the students who enroll in the school of Engineering & Agriculture and life sciences? I really need to know this since I screwed up really badly my freshman year and got a 2.8 unweighted.....How much will that hurt me?? I think my weighted GPA for freshman year would 3.3 weighted because I took all honors classes?

Although GPA's can vary vastly by the difficulty of different high schools, I think a 3.7 unweighted is at least average for Cornell.

People say GPA is not the only thing that matters. However, if you did wonderfully on your SAT scores, then I think that might say something negative about you. That is just saying it might tell the admission people that you are just "lazy" in school and desperate to get the easy way out through SAT scores. I AM NOT saying that you are lazy or anything cause I am in the same situation also. And I am pretty sure u worked hard to consider engineering :]. I AM ALSO NOT saying to do bad on your SAT's. IT always depends on your culmulative records and such. Just do well on everything else. The thing that always sucks for everybody is that everything always DEPENDS......

Oh...one last thing....a good plus is the increase in GPA> They take that into consideration!^^
