I am considering grad school for forensic science because I want to be a forensic scientist. I am currently a chemistry major with a minor that's related to behavioral science where I am taking criminal justice/criminology classes. I just finished my sophomore year. I also have a 2.85 gpa... I had a 3.2 and then dropped down to a 2.8 after having a really bad semester because I was pledging, had started a part time job, and took organic chemistry, physics, and calculus 3 at the same time. Then I also failed almost all my finals because I had to take 5 finals in a span of 48 hours as well. (My worst semester ever, literally.) Lastly, there are not that many schools that offer a forensic science degree so I feel like I am already limited.
Is there any chance of me getting accepted into grad school for forensic science? I have been doing some research at potential colleges and my GPA is pretty low. And since I am starting my junior year, it only means my classes will get harder, so I am not sure how am I going to bring my gpa up especially since I've heard it is impossible to get an A in some courses due to unorganized professor or TA taking points off for no reason on lab reports. I have maybe one letter of recommendation from my advisor who I also had as a chemistry teacher, except I got a B in his class. I have not even thought about studying for the GRE yet because I heard they were reformatting it. I also have no laboratory experience, however, I have work experience from my campus job and working at the pool, but they have nothing to do with my field.
