Grad School Path

Hi. I'm a Senior thinking about possibly taking the 4+2 path (Liberal Arts + Architecture Graduate School).

I'd rather not do a 4+3 so that's why I'm asking for your help. The liberal arts school that I'm interested in offers the following Architecture courses.

Do any of you know if these courses would represent 4 to 6 design studio classes (which is the requirement for a 2 year Architecture Graduate school that I'm interested in). Thank you!!

ART70-314 Architectural Studio I: Introduction to Drafting and Programmatic Design

ART70-324 Architectural Studio II: Historical Design

ART70-334 Architectural Studio III: Modern Structures

ART70-414 Design I: Introduction

ART70-424 Design II: Intermediate

Possibly, but M.Arch programs are quite arbitrary in granting course exemptions. Unless you have a B.Arch or a BS architecture, they’ll want you to take the full 3.0 to 3.5 years.

You might see if your desired LAC has some kind of advising program for architecture graduate school. Ask which degree programs their graduates were admitted to. Or just ask your desired M.Arch program the same question that you’ve posted here.
