I'm a political communication major at a public research university on the west coast. I'm currently in the process of researching paths of graduate study and thought I'd check here for some general opinions. Are there any specific schools/programs anyone here would recommend that I look into? Of schools that offer communication-related fields of study at the graduate level, which ones would I be realistically qualified to apply to? Of course, I'd love to get into the best school/program possible.

My GPA currently stands at 3.79 cum (3.85 departmental). I realize that the GRE is an important factor as well, but I've yet to take it. I will, however, be graduating with some research under my belt. This coming year I'll be participating in my department's honors program, through which I'll work closely with one of my professors to research and write a thesis. I'm also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, but I'm not sure how much something like that really counts toward anything.

I welcome any and all suggestions or guidance, and please let me know if I left out any essential information.

Thanks in advance,
