Grad Student Housing - I House vs. Ida Jackson

Hello,

I am a incoming first years masters student who will be starting at Berkeley next January or March (depending on when I am able to come up). I am currently looking for places to live and am trying to decide between Ida Jackson and the I-House.

Could anyone share their experiences with either of these places? Mainly, I'm looking for a place that is comfortable and I would also like to get to know as many other students as possible since I will be new to the area.

Hey, I have no idea about those places but I just wanted to give you a suggestion that I have heard about- Hillegass Parker House in the Berkeley Student Cooperative. I am an undergrad and have lived in other BSC houses for undergrads and would suggest this house since you say you want something social. It is part of the BSC but is mainly for graduate students. Here’s a link to the description of the house: [Hillegass Parker House](http://www.bsc.coop/housing/houses/medium-houses/hillegass-parker-house)

If money is not an issue, I’d recommend I House based on what I’ve heard from friends.
