Grade deflation

I wanted to try and join this 8 year integrated program at university of chicago which includes pre med and med school. Only thing is i wanted more opinions on how difficult the classes are. Im solely asking on how difficult it is once you get accepted. Ive heard its incredibly tough to get a's and average gpa is in mid 2's

There is no 8 year integrated program. There is a program where you can apply to Pritzker med school at the end of 3rd year to begin medical school when you would have been doing your 4th year of undergrad.

Also, where did you read that GPA nonsense? Half of the students, if not more, graduate with general honors which is a 3.25 or more.

Sa0209

You missed the percentage of graduates with general honors by a long shot. In the 519th convocation(June 2014) there were about 1000 students received general honors over total of about 1200 UG graduates.

Please search in this forum under the same title “grade deflation”. I was the op there.

Regarding the accelerated med school program at Pritzker. I thought @Uchicago(or Grace) had already replied in a previous thread. The program takes maybe 2 students each year, so not only you have to be the PBK recipient, but also you have to be the top student in your class at UChicago. The GPA worry is not an issue there, if you were the top student.
