is this true at stanford? It would be important for me because im thinking about top Law graduate school :-)
also do you think it will be tough to get As in Econ Major. Is econ major at Stanford anthing like studing for AP micro and maco at a higher level?? I really enjoyed studing for them at HS.

man Dew u and i are planning a very similar path lol
i hope someone can answer this !!!
thank you~~~

check out courserank.stanford.edu

look at some of the econ core class distributions. they are not completely accurate but they are at least somewhat close.

floppy are you a stanford student? what you think about the grade inflation at stanford?

Yeah.

There is grade inflation. But don't get me wrong it's not like they're handing out A's. You have to work for it, but if you just work hard it is possible to get an A in every class. The worst you can generally get is a B-, unless you really **** up something.

floppy, if I may ask, what are you majoring in and would you say the same thing about grades also applies to engineering courses?

Cervantes:I'm probably going to major in Biology. I just finished my freshman year. I don't really know much about engineering classes, but the pre reqs for engineering such as the math 50 series, physics 40 series, cme, e40, cs 106, etc, have similar curves to chemistry, econ etc. I would assume that the curves aren't much different in engineering classes, but I can't say for sure.

The hardest curves I've seen are for IHUM. It seems like 20% get A's and the rest get B's. And if you really mess up then you get a C.

floppy, many are saying that Humans and machine suck but it is really easy to get an A. Is this true? thanks

The general perception of that class is that it's not as intense as the other IHUMs but the material is boring.

I don't think it is any easier to get an A, though, because the IHUM program limits the number of A's given out in each discussion section.

thanks floppy I hope it will not be so boring for me:-)

really? they limit number of A's? but why???? how many A's (%) are given out? thanks
