Does anyone know what percentage of students at Duke in a class would make an A, B, C or whatever? Is it difficult to fail a course? Are A's pretty common? What would be considered a good gpa here...I'm trinity by the way.

Thanks a lot.

Don't know the percentages but like I said before Duke does not give good grades away. In engineering and science classes it is tough to get an A. My chem class last semester curved around a B- and it was tough. As a science major I work hard and am satisfied with anything from a B up. So anything over 3.0 is fine with me. That probably sounds kind of low. non-science/engineering majors probably have different standards for themselves.

any other insights?

Depends on the major and how smart you are compared to the rest of the class. A's are definitely achievable but there's no point speculating how you're gonna do.
