So I am a Sophomore in Highschool and I am trying to get a clear view of my options for where I want to apply to college. Sure you could say I have time, but I like to know all the possibilities. I am almost certain of following the medical career path throughout college onto med school.
North Carolina State University and UNC Chapelhill are my top options and getting into any one of them would be amazing.
My Stats: I still have time to improve my grades but here are my predicted stats:
.GPA(unweighted): 3.9
.GPA(weighted): 4.4
.SAT score: 1490
I have a good amount of leadership and extracurricular activities. (I’m too lazy to list them, so trust me on that:))
This virus situation is leaving me with a lower GPA cuz our school is not counting this whole semester into our final GPA.
What are my chances and what school do u guys think is a better path for me? I live in NC by the way so I’m in-state.
@bioBrain Well you have great predicted stats and ECs and those schools favor in-state students, so I think you should apply to both, amongst other safety and match schools. I think you could get into North Carolina State University and UNC-Chapel Hill, but it depends on many things. How focused are your ECs and do they show interest in your interested major? Do you have any hooks? There is plenty of time to raise your GPA. This is a difficult time and colleges will know that. Good luck!
