Anyone know how the grading scale works for Michigan (LSA)?

Quick assumption:

A+ : 4
A : 3.7?
A- : 3.5
B+ : 3.3
B : 3.0
B- : 2.7

Is that right?

err..I hope not. A majority of my classes don't give out A+s, which makes my UW GPA a lot closer to 3.7...I would think it's a simple A=4, B=3..etc system.

That would mean all A's are equal, which is nonsense.

It's on the UM website.

A+, A: 4
A-: 3.7
B+: 3.3
B: 3.0

etc

I don't like this scale either because I have a few A+'s and feel that I should get more than 'bragging rights'.

i'm pretty sure it's all As are 4 and all Bs are 3...etc...

i was inclined to believe that all A's are 4.0, all B's 3.0, all C's 2.0, and all D's 1.0

In terms of admissions it is, but at the actual university its like josh said.

Thanks Josh.

I can't figure out their grading scale, nor their grading scale when determining admission. I was stun to find out they subtract freshmen year... does this mean they mainly base their choice off 2 years ( sophomore and junior). I did good freshmen year, sophmore year was okay, and currently a junior and seem to be doing good.

^yep (10 char)
