Graduate application - GPA inconsistencies?

Hey all, I have a quick question about reporting my GPA on graduate school applications. I am concerned that my self-reported GPA might not match the one on my official transcript because I don't know if my most recent grades have been included yet (registrar says it takes 3-6 weeks for the transcript to be updated). Should I just report my GPA before my last quarter grades (even though it's higher now?).

Also, in case others have applied to UCLA, I noticed on their online application it asked for Jr/Sr GPA. After I submitted that app they requested I fill out an additional form for the EE program, and it asks simply for "GPA." There's a significant difference between my cumulative GPA and Jr/Sr GPA.... so I'm at a loss for what to fill out here. I don't want there to be some inconsistency in my application.

Thanks for any help.

Options:

 1. Call and get a better answer from the registrar. Some schools ask for midyear grades so they should know when fall grades start appearing on the transcript.

or

Fill in what you want and then include a sentence in the “optional/additional info” section telling them what you did.

As for the EE form, generally when programs ask for GPA they mean your GPA from the entire 4 years, but when it doubt, you can always call them up and ask…
