Graduate School Admissions/Recommendations

Hello,

I am a UChicago Math major that is very interested in graduate school. Currently I have a 3.8 GPA and a 3.55 Math GPA (Which will hopefully go up in these next few quarters). I’m really trying my best in my classes, and I’ve taken Honors Algebra and Accelerated Analysis. I’ve also taken some topology/geometry related electives.

I’ve done a REU and two DRPs (I plan on doing more DRPs—basically one for every quarter from here on).

Also I consider myself Agender if that matters (though I’m still sort of figuring that whole thing out so it might change to Man).

I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me on what kinds of graduate schools I could get into (mostly I’m interested in Geometry, Topology, Algebra, or Probability). Ideally I’d like to go to NYU, UMich, Northwestern, Caltech, MIT, or back to UChicago (does my going to UChicago help me in any way?).

Also, if I wanted to improve my possible results, what could I do?

Finally, how important is taking graduate classes? Currently I haven’t taken any, but I’m considering taking some next year.
