Hi! I'm an italian student and I'm graduating next year. I'm majoring in chemistry and was thinking about going to the US for grad school. I'm looking for a good polymer/organic chemistry department, do you have any suggestion? I've been to UChicago for a summer course and maybe I could apply there for grad school, do you know if their organic chemistry program is good?
Do you think it's harder for international students to be accepted in US grad schools?
Thank you for your help :)

Chicago is probably more known for theoretical and physical chemistry…but I can’t imagine its organic chemistry program is poor.

Talk to organic chemistry professors at your current school. They will know who’s who in the world of their field and which US schools you are most likely to get admitted to from your school. Networking to find a grad school whose professors know about your school or professors will be easier than sending out many applications to schools where you are a totally unknown entity.
