Hey guys. Just wanted your input on this question. So I will most likely be a graduate student in September (just need to decide where to go once I get all the decisions), but the issue that I have is that most of my peers will be significantly older than myself. The average age of the students at the public policy programs to which I applied to are between 27 and 30 years old. I on other hand am only 21 (will be 22 by September). I am still someone who puts a lot of weight on social life and partying, and having a good work life balance (so pretty much as long as I have my work done, I can go out, currently I go out 2-3 times a week, and I am also in a Fraternity). Do graduate students still party and go to bars and all that stuff? (I am sure not to the same extent as undergrads, but still maybe once or twice a week, and I am sure they dont get as crazy either). I still want to enjoy my time at school, so essentially doing well in my courses, learning from my professors and my peers, but also going out like I have been for the past 4 years.

Also, do graduate students usually associate with undergrads at all? IOr is it considered weird to do so? Due to my age difference I am uncertain on as to how seriously some graduate students may take me, especially given the potential difference in the mentality of someone who is 22 and someone who is, for example, 28, and how well I would fit the majority of them, hence why I am asking this question. I have personally met only one graduate student during my time at University, and he is not your typical graduate student (still active in his frat).

Thank you for your time!
