I recently graduated from GW (Class of 2008) and would like to voice my opinions on this forum. As a high school junior/senior, I used CC to decide which colleges were right for me. I truly appreciate the advice that other posters gave me on CC, and am happy to now be a graduate from GW. I graduated a year early from GW (thanks to AP credits, summer classes, and college classes while still in high-school). I recieved my B.A. in international affairs and have already begun my graduate program at Johns Hopkins University at the D.C. campus.

While I have several negative thoughts about GW, I am grateful for my educational experiences. I would love to field questions from prospective students. Prior to attending, I was very misinformed about the school, but I still managed to enjoy my experiences. I hope to honestly answer any questions.

Did you find that graduating in three years had any negative consequences when applying to graduate schools. Did you have time to do a final honors thesis/project? Obviously, you were ultimately successful with a fine graduate school admission, but I'm curious about any details you can provide.

Can you tell me a bit more about financial aid at GWU? Also how was your overall experience. Would you recommend someone wanting to major in international relations to go to GWU? How is the social life there?

Could you detail your negative feelings? I'm sending my D 3,000 miles to this school, and would love to know what to expect. No school is perfect. Hopefully your good experiences outweighed the bad? Compared with my experience at two other private colleges I admit that I'm a little concerned with my initial exposure to some of the administrative practices.
