Graduating in 3 years

If I take a few summer classes, I could easily graduate college in 3 years.. will law schools look down upon this? Also if I graduated in 3 years and had a year of work experience, would that be better than graduating in four years?

there are a few threads about this subject if you search for it

Honestly the only thing I found was about medical school, so if anyone can answer my question

you asked this question a while back. her it is in case you forgot:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=276146&highlight=graduate+early%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=276146&highlight=graduate+early</a></p>

haha thanks... i havent posted here in a while. I can graduate a semester early over my normal degree plan, but I have decided that would not be very useful so now my options are to graduate in 3 years with a few summer classes or graduate in 4 years and take a few more electives

Most people agree that graduating early wont make a difference when you are applying to law school, but some posters like Sallyawp (she regularly recruits (or recruited) for BIGLAW firms) have said that many firms (esp. the top ones) will be somewhat hesitant in hiring a 24 year old. I think she usually says that even a year or two difference in age could make a difference in the eyes of employers.

I think it's great that you're in a position to give yourself this kind of flexibility. However, I would encourage you to consider slowing down a bit. Take the time to enjoy college and the summers because you'll never have that time again.

There's no rush. Law school and law firm jobs will still be there whether you get there a year or two later.

Spend the extra year or two to make absolutely sure that going to law school and practicing law at BIGLAW is what you really want to do. Both may seem glamorous, but both can be very stressful and tough.

Best of luck.

Heres a reason why I want to graduate in 3 years (take summer classes this summer instead of an internship).

If I apply for law school next year and didn't get in to the ones i wanted to, I can work for a whole year (wouldn't law schools look favorably upon this?) and apply again the following year with everyone else my age. Thoughts?

Or you could just work for a whole year and apply for the first time with everyone else your age.
