I really can't afford NU without what I think would be a lot of debt (my financial aid package was really disappointing), so I was thinking a way to cut costs would be to see if I could graduate in 3 years. How many people do this and is it feasible? I will have taken 7 AP exams by the summer, but I only know how I did on the 3 I took last year (I got all 5s).

I BELIEVE that although NU offers credit for 5s on AP classes, they have a minimum number of classes that you must complete over 4 or more years. I think that it is impossible to graduate in less than 4 years.

Yeah I was confused because I know someone who is graduating in three years, but she entered before they increased the restrictions on getting credit for APs and what APs can go towards and all that stuff. I'm going to call NU, but I have a feeling they won't want to talk to me about this kind of stuff now.

My friend did it in 3 years. She was at first double-majoring in econ and industrial engineering but then decided to just finish IE in 3 years. That was like in the late 90s though.

there is no course limit/quarter and no fee to take more than 4, but if u decide to graduate early using these credits, they will charge you for all ur overloads (large fraction of the actual tuition for each course)

if u can find a job at the end of junior year, you could probably manage the huge bill
