Graduating in three years?

Have any of you graduated in 3 years or are thinking about graduating in three years?

Do you think you made a good decision in retrospect? or What are your reason for wanting to graduate earlier?

What about people that could have graduated earlier but chose to stay longer just for fun, what do you think of your decision now?

Thanks in advance

I've never wanted to graduate early just because I'm not ready to be in the real world being an adult yet. I'm already going to graduate when I'm 20 anyway, 1.5 years from now, (started college when I was almost 17) so I am still like OMG what the crap why do I have to be an adult now??

I'll have to do 15 hours per semester just to graduate in 4 years.

many people do it with APs. If all my APS were accepted i could easily graduate in 3 years...but i dont want to :(

Recommendation: look for an additional degree to persue during your "extra" time. Many kids could graduate early but choose to up the effort instead. I am glad I chose to stay for the full 4 years.

i think it depends what kind of person you are, if you always were more mature than everyone else and wanted to get on with life, go ahead. But for the average person, I wouldn't do it. My sister graduated early, and I decided not to because I felt like I needed the year to learn more, take as many classes as possible and just stay at home before I went to college. But every person is different. Overall, I'm very happy I didn't graduate early, I will go to college when my time comes.

Are you talking about graduating college in 3 years or high school in 3 years? I definitely wouldn't do it if it was high school, but I'd consider it if it was college, especially with the way tuition is nowadays.

high school, sorry, but my sister graduated high school early and will soon graduate college early. I wouldn't do either.

Funny how opinions differ. Many friends left HS in three.......took college courses before they departed and not a one regretted college matriculation early. More than a few I know could have left undergrad early, one guy did. He took a job in hedge industry designing trading models. As for the tuition comment......many schools will allow a submatriculation for graduate degree at no additional cost. That seems to be a bargain to me.

My $.02....

Graduating in 3 years is like leaving the party at 9:30--you'll miss out on some of the best times of your life.

you want to graduate early because you are soooo eager to work a 9 to 5, 5 days a week doing routine work?

I know plenty of people who were eager to graduate (though not early) because of the rigor of their coursework. It all depends on what your college experience is like and what you have lined up for afterwards.

I would've happily not spent 4 years in high school, but college is a thousand times better than high school and I don't really want to leave.

It's a decision I've been pondering...I came into college with 30 credits, a full year. It would relieve a financial burden on my family to graduate in 3 years, but I don't know if I'd be prepared for graduate school.

I wouldn't want to go straight to the work force, I was thinking graduating early would give me time to maybe study abroad and go to law school.

PS Im talking about college in case ppl were wondering (not hs), Im currently in my 2nd year.

Then take off your junior year to go abroad for a year then you can really graduate with your friends and class.

Unless graduating in 4 years is going to be a large financial burden, I'd hang around for the final year...let the good times roll.

I've thought about graduating early jsut because fo what i want to become.

I want to achieve so much. Become a Director -> Producer -> then own a film production company.

Also, it's VERY fun.

besides, you don't have to be in college to go to college parties.

I want to graduate in either 3 years or a semester early because I plan on going to graduate school and I want to get on with my life. I can't stand being at home and I want to start an independent life as soon as I can. I also plan to pursue a second bachelor's degree at my own leisure, without the burden of my parents. There's honestly no reason to stay in college so long if you can graduate early.
