I'm just wondering whether graduating with Honors means anything for medical school? Let's say you have like a 3.8 and you graduate with honors, is this like brownie points or do they not care at all?

Not worth very much since graduation with honors is usually just a reflection of your GPA and research experience, both of which are reflected on the other aspects of your application.

What if graduating with honors/distinction means that you were a part of the honors college at your respective university (i.e. took special honors-only classes and perhaps more difficult sections of other classes where you were graded slightly harder than other students)?

You automatically get honors if you get good grades. So, according to the Transitive Property, if [good grades=honors] and also [good grades=worth it] then [honors=worth it] must be true.
