I wanted to ask what the percentage of students graduating in 4 years is at UCLA. In US News, it says 73% are graduating in 4 years but I heard from some students there that it would be really difficult to graduate in 4 years if they want to. It is, according to one that I spoke to, because of the fact that students are having difficulty taking the required courses in time due to limited seats. It would be great if I could hear from current students or families. Thanks.
My son graduated last year. He and his friends, roommates and friends from high school all graduated on time or early. They had a variety of majors including Economics, engineering, History, Political Science, Biology, etc… You can get the classes you need if you are willing to take classes at 8 am and/or on Fridays.
This is a greater problem at UCSD, less so at UCLA and UCB. Doable but you have to be diligent, focused and not take it easy when you are registering for prerequisites. Every decision to postpone something you can do this term but choose not to will have cascade effects.
