Are there general graduation requirements (core courses), or just requirements specific to each major?

When you start RPI you receive a big book of all classes offered and the requirements for each major. The rules/specifications in that book determine what you need to graduate (i.e. they can’t change the rules on you). It is very much by major with some general guidelines by the school.

General guidelines meaning courses? I’ll be majoring in Architecture, which takes up a LOT of credits, so if there are core courses in addition to that I’ll have very few electives.

Does this help?
