Graham Hall

I recently found a double in Graham Hall. What are the benefits of this hall?

Well, there’s several benefits I can think of off the top of my head. Graham is relatively close to the Reitz Union, Gator Dining, O Connel Center, Football stadium, Student rec center, and all the advising offices.

There’s always a Gator in the Graham Pond as well. I don’t know what the dorms look like, but I’d assume they’re decent college dorms and similar to most of the others. The location is great in my opinion.

Graham is probably gonna be a bit of a walk for most of your classes, about 10 minute walk to the main buildings. It’s in a decent location for food though, short walk to gator dining and the reitz union. I think Graham has a pool table in the common room too (though I still used the reitz tables, even though they arn’t free at the reitz). It is not close to the Rec Center (nothing is really) and I don’t know of any advising office near there.

I think he was referring to the racket club gym.

If you are a engineering major.

There is a bus the stops right outside the dorm on G-L drive that will go to the Hub, so distance to classes tends to not be a problem.

Other benefits:
-You have the largest parking lot for freshmen close to the dorm, if you want to bring your car.
-Large study space located above the area office
-Graham oasis
-Good or bad: large freshmen population with Graham, Simpson, and Trusler

Graham Oasis is in Graham hall and has a nice convenience store, Boars Head Deli, and Grille Works…I believe this area is open til midnight most nights.

It’s not really close to the fitness center at the racquet club, either. I didn’t understand your comment about an engineering major, but I still don’t know of any advising near there.

I know about the campus buses, but you’re still sacrifing time wait for a bus, rather then having a dorm nearer to the classes so it’s just a couple minute walk.

I definitely agree having the parking area is a huge advantage, I forgot about that. Nearly eveyrone is going to have to park in the graham lot of in hume garage, so it’s very convenient to live there.

before i moved in, i wanted to live in graham. i didn’t, and afterwards throughout the year i never could understand why people would want to live there. location sucks.
