While there are a lot of posts about dorms, I couldn't really find much info on Yulee and Graham. So which of those two do you think are the best?

I'll (hopefully!) be going into advertising my freshman year, but without a car so I'll be walking and taking the bus a lot, so whether either of them are closer to classes is kinda a big thing, as well as being close to stuff like a dining place and a place to exercise. I kinda want a fairly quiet dorm, too, so if the dorm is social isn't my biggest concern. I've read that Yulee has better bathrooms, and was wondering about that.

So, any opinions? :D Or are there any better dorms for me than Yulee and Graham?

Yulee is at the center of campus, fairly close to classes. Graham isn’t too far though, about a 15 minute walk. Both are within 5 minutes of a dinning hall, and they’re both about the same for a gym. The Graham area is pretty quiet all around; I’m not sure about Yulee in terms for quietness though. A community bathroom is a community bathroom no matter which dorm you’re in.

It highly depends on the people that live there. Both are generally freshmen area, so they both tend to be very social. When I lived in the Graham area, it was very social. As for the distances to Turlington plaza, any bus that run up Dale L drive goes to the Hub/Turlington plaza area and there is a stop right in front of the graham area, so it wont take you long to get there. Both dorms area pretty similar overall. I would pick Simpson over Graham because its mandated to be only freshmen every year and you are considered a displaced student afterwards. So if you continue to live on campus you get your choice of where you want to live.

Graham (and Simpson, Trusler): large parking lot for freshmen, Graham Oasis convenience store, close to the stadium and dining hall

Yulee: recently renovated so they have really nice bathrooms, closer to most of the freshmen classes, close to sorority row (positive if you join), close to the main libraries, close to the dining hall, Beaty convenience store is a short walk away
