Grammatical error on submitted application

How negatively will one grammatical error affect my essay on my submitted application? The error slipped right past me, and now that I see it I feel so stupid..

Here's the error:
"...the pain and physical exhaustion was at its maximum and fighting through it was the only option."

It should be: the pain and physical exhaustion were at its maximum

:/

It’s okay. I forgot a comma and made my sentence a run on :l HAHA

Don’t feel badly. Colleges aren’t looking for perfect people and if your app is strong overall, one error in grammar shouldn’t make a difference. btw, even your ‘corrected’ example in the post still isn’t right.

Shouldn’t it be “at THEIR maximum”? Or am I wrong?

I had to read it twice to notice the error! I doubt they will take it too seriously anyways! Good luck. :)
