I've been accepted to the University of Arkansas and I'm planning to attend there this fall.
The problem is that a really good friend of mine (Almost like a brother to me) wants to go to college anywhere close to me so we can still hang out from time to time and not drift apart and since UofA does not offer that major we are looking for a close enough college that does.
He wants to major in Graphic Design and/or Web Design in a 4 year college.

What are the best art schools, colleges or universities that possibly could have this major near Arkansas? 7 or less hours away would be great.
We are looking for Tier 1 schools, nothing really expensive if possible.

Please help me and my friend, excuse me for my english as It's not my native language.

The University of Arkansas offers a Visual Design major, with multiple classes in Graphic Design. You may want to look at the webpage for the Visual Design department.

Thanks silliconvalleymom!! I didn’t see that major on the catalog of studies list, maybe it is because it is only in the art.uark.edu site. This is great for my friend, maybe will even consider this particular major… Thanks a lot! One little thing tho, it says it requires 6 semesters of course work in visual design. Does this means she would only be attending college for 3 years? How good/bad is the art program in UofA? Thanks again!

And Waverly, by not “too expensive” I mean somewhere around 15k or less for international students per year in tuition. My friend has a 4.0GPA and many extra curriculars, very artistic so he could get scholarships to lower that very easily and with the NRTA of UofA is very convenient
