In graduate school, if you're aiming for medical school, do you just have to take the MCAT and not GRE? That's a rumor I heard, and I hope someone can come along and confirm that. :)

ALL US medical schools require the MCAT for admission. None required the GRE–unless you’re applying to MD/PhD programs. Then it depends upon the school’s policies.

What about the GRE subject tests?

Also, does it matter when you take the MCAT? Does it only count when you take it your junior year or can you take it earlier and get it over with (as in the same as SAT/ACT)?

Anyone have any idea? :)

The GRE is required for graduate (MS, PhD) programs. The MCAT is required for medical school programs.

If you have specific questions about medical school admissions and the MCAT, you should ask in the medical school forum – this forum is for graduate admissions, not professional school admissions.
