<p>I got a 730 on the math, 610 on verbal, and 5.5 on the writing and I got into Caltech.</p>
<p>For what programs? It doesn't mean anything to get into a particular school, but rather to a particular program in a particular field.</p>
<p>US News has the average GRE scores for many engineering programs. I can tell you for free that the average quantitative score for most top science and engineering programs is close to 800.</p>
