Obviously this won't be true for everyone, but that seems to be the case for me, at least with the diagnostic I just took. Scored way below the 50th percentile on the verbal section, but scored a good amount above the 50th percentile on my LSAT diagnostic, and 170 on my 3rd LSAT practice test with hardly any studying. I think it's the vocab on the GRE. They have some f'ed up words there. I've gone through hundreds of words in vocab lists, but new ones still pop up that Dr. Seuss probably [invented -- Ed. MWFN]. Granted, this was only my diagnostic and I hope I will make significant improvements. Anybody else in my boat, and any suggestions to help me get a Yacht?

a lot of times you don’t actually need to know the word meaning too well to get it right. plus the reading comp. and sentence completion usually don’t involve hard words. don’t know about the lsat, never studied for it and don’t even know the format.
