Saw the production on Hartford Stage before it went to Broadway. She was excellent and we all liked the show a lot. (Even have a picture of my daughter with Altomare from after the show) Not sure what happened between Hartford Stage and Broadway, but it seems like the show wasn’t as well received on Broadway. The guy that directed the show also did A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, which won the Tony a few years earlier as well.
Cool that Christy has used her creativity as part of her lifeline. Interestingly, CCM recently graduated its first Commercial Music Production class. A friend’s daughter with singer/songwriter aspirations was in the innaugural freshman class.
