Alright, so I just checked my SAT II scores.

I took 3 SAT's on that fateful day, here are my results.

Biology M: 780
US H: 760
Latin: 530

I knew I did not do well on the Latin, I felt it after I left the exam room. Here's the thing though, I have no intent or desire to major in Latin, or pursue it in college.

A 530 is glaringly bad when you true to woo schools. Here's my question, will the Latin score show no matter what? Like if a school asks for 3 Subject tests, and I take another subject, can I just omit Latin?

Or is Latin a scar I'm going to have to carry?

if your extracurric's and latin grades are good, then it really doesn't matter

But if latin is your "unique and defining" aspect of you, then (the words that you most dread are coming up..) retake...retake...retake...

plus, if you have any questions about latin, ask me any question and i will be more than happy to answer them...hopefully, I will be able to answer them, XD

Yes, you cannot pick and choose which test scores your colleges see. Every single one of your scores gets sent in at the same time as the others. However...

While you cannot just "omit" a bad test score, adcoms will generally not take into consideration any scores that you didn't really want to count toward your admissions decision. That is, the three best SAT II scores you get will be the ones "formally" used for deciding whether you're in or out. That being said, since adcoms still see every score you've gotten, they may subconsciously play a role. For instance, getting something in the 200 or 300s would reflect very badly on you. However, a 530 is no 200 or 300. That should be fine if you get a better score on a different test you would like your schools to use instead.

kryptonsa36, the final committee will see only your highest scores. However, those underlings who review your application beforehand will have access to all of your scores.
