Great Pre-Med Schools

Hello everyone! I am a new user here and I'm looking for information for excellent pre-med college universities. I'm a sophomore in high school and although it might seem that I'm too young to begin the college application process, I want to gain a better idea of what I need to do to go the best college for me. I'm at the top of my class and I want to make the best out of that. Two colleges that I'm already interested in going to are: Ohio State and Stanford. Information on their pre-med programs would be greatly appreciated.

General Info About Me:
-4.5 weighted GPA (4.0 unweighted)
-Ranked 2 out of 230 in my class
-28 ACT
-participate in Student Council, Model UN, and my schools Math Team
-Sports: Varsity Cross Country and Track & Field
-I take numerous honors and AP classes

If anyone could give me insight on where my resume can take me into a college, I would be greatful! Also, would my resume so far make me a competitive candidate for prestigious scholarships? If so, could someone provide information on such scholarships as I have no knowledge of any and I do not know where to begin. Lastly, I also plan on applying to the US Naval Academy and becoming an officer. Can I still pursue my medical career while being an officer?

Thank You!

A good pre-med school has the following characteristics:

Low cost to save money or avoid debt (medical school can be expensive).

Pre-med courses that will prepare you well for the MCAT.

Grade inflation relative to student competitiveness.

Accessible pre-med extracurriculars (shadowing, volunteering in medical contexts).

With respect to options available to military servicemembers, note that there is the [Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences](http://www.usuhs.mil/) .

At other schools besides the military service academies, you may want to look at the http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1348012-automatic-full-tuition-full-ride-scholarships-14.html</a> , as well as look at the scholarships forums and check the scholarship pages of the various schools you may be interested in.
